SANFORD _ Section 7A crews beginning Oct. 4 are rebuilding driveways and side street entrances along the south side of State Road 46 from Ross Lake Lane to Lake Markham Road. Old asphalt is being removed and temporary material will be in place, bordered by barrels, for the next eight months while the eastbound service road is being built.

Affected side streets include Bella Foresta Place and Painted Post Point. Access to properties will be maintained.

This operation is part of building Wekiva Parkway Section 7A. Work on this stretch along S.R. 46 from Longwood-Markham Road to Orange Boulevard began April 1, 2018, and is scheduled to finish in 2022.

Motorists should be alert for large construction equipment and vehicles moving in and out of the work zone. Drivers should obey the speed limit, all construction signs and safety devices for the safety of the public and work crews. FDOT reminds all road users to pay attention, drive with care and always buckle up.
