S.R. 417 Nighttime Detours Scheduled at I-4 and International Parkway

January 24, 2020

Sanford, Fla. – Crews are scheduled the nights of Monday, Jan. 27, through Thursday, Jan. 30, to close some of the ramps at State Road (S.R.) 417 and Interstate 4 (I-4) as part of building the Wekiva Parkway (S.R. 429). The closures are needed to allow crews to build a new, temporary traffic pattern for vehicles on the northbound S.R. 417 ramp to get around due to upcoming bridge work.

The nighttime closures and detours will occur on Jan. 27-30 for northbound S.R. 417 from 8:30 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., and on Jan. 29-30 for southbound S.R. 417 from 7:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Northbound S.R. 417 traffic heading to International Parkway will exit at Rinehart Road and follow the detour to S.R. 46 or County Road (C.R.) 46A.  Traffic will be able to access westbound I-4 by using Rinehart Road to C.R. 46A. The ramp from S.R. 417 northbound to I-4 eastbound will remain open.

Motorists heading westbound on I-4 or from International Parkway heading to southbound S.R. 417 will follow the detour to C.R. 46A or S.R. 46 and use the Rinehart Road entrance ramps to southbound S.R. 417.  Access from I-4 eastbound to S.R. 417 southbound will remain open.
