APOPKA _ The Central Florida Expressway Authority as of February 26, 2016 had excavated and relocated more than 90 gopher tortoises to a state licensed recipient site; crews are working their way through checking 237 burrows for the protected keystone species. Clearing and demolition also continue for the systems interchange to be located at Ondich Road and Plymouth Sorrento Road. Work began January 4, 2016.
