The Central Florida Expressway Authority Board on March 10, 2016 approved the bid from GLF Construction to build Wekiva Parkway Section 2C.  The contractor submitted a bid of $49.48 million to build the section from northwest of the systems interchange, across the Orange-Lake County Line up to State Road 46 just east of Round Lake Road. Construction is scheduled to begin in May of 2016.
