FDOT Section 4: Lane Closure Scheduled for Wekiva Parkway

January 2017

Lake County – On Monday, Jan. 23, crews will close the northbound outside lane on the Wekiva Parkway (State Road 429) from half a mile north of the Orange County/Lake County line to about a mile south of State Road (S.R.) 46. The lane closure, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., will allow crews to perform fiberoptic work on an ongoing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) project.

Bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work. Motorists are urged to use caution in the area for their safety and that of the work crews.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) opened Section 4 of the Wekiva Parkway on Jan. 20, 2016. It includes 3.14 miles of limited access toll road from County Road 435/Mount Plymouth Road, north across the Lake County Line/Orange County line, northeast to west of Old McDonald Road and ending in an interchange at S.R. 46.
