(MOUNT DORA, FL) – Crews are scheduled on Tuesday, November 6, to conduct single lane closures on southbound State Road (S.R.) 453 near S.R. 46. The lane closures, scheduled from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., are needed to continue landscaping the S.R. 453 spur of the Wekiva Parkway (State Road 429).

Electronic message boards and law enforcement officers will be in place to alert drivers. Wet weather or other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work.

CFX opened its final five miles of the parkway on March 31, 2018. The opening marked a major milestone in having more than half of the entire 25-mile parkway open to traffic. This portion of the parkway provides a crucial expressway connection to SR 46 and communities throughout Lake, Orange and Seminole Counties.

The new parkway sections (2A, 2B and 2C) are located between Kelly Park Road and State Road 46, and between Round Lake Road and County Road 435 (Mount Plymouth Road). Work on the three sections began in 2016 and cost $168 million to construct.
