The Central Florida Expressway Authority on October 14, 2015 ranked AECOM as the top firm to oversee construction of Wekiva Parkway Section 2C. The construction engineering and inspection firm still must be approved by the CFX Board. Section 2C will extend northwest from the systems interchange at Plymouth Sorrento and Haas-Ondich Roads, across the Lake-Orange County line to State Road 46 just east of Round Lake Road. Construction on this section is scheduled to begin in March of 2016.
