As part of the Wekiva Parkway project, the Florida Department of Transportation today installed a large, overhead sign structure to help drivers continue on State Road 46 west when heading toward the Osprey Hammock Trail roundabout. The new signs indicate that those wishing to continue on S.R. 46 west to Sorrento or Mount Dora should stay to the left. Those wishing to get to River Oaks Circle or Wekiva Park Drive should take the bypass on the right.

A large turnaround area is also being completed at Wekiva Park Drive in case drivers errantly take the bypass.

A new exit ramp from International Parkway to southbound State Road (S.R.) 417 will open as soon as Monday, July 24. Motorists will access southbound S.R. 417 via a new, signalized intersection north of Pebble Ridge Lane. This marks another Wekiva Parkway milestone as the project approaches the completion of the beltway around Central Florida.

A new bypass just north of the Osprey Hammock roundabout will open Thursday, June 15. The new movement will help motorists on westbound State Road (S.R.) 46 better navigate the series of roundabouts. Those wishing to get to River Oaks Circle and Wekiva Park Drive will have to consciously move to the right to take the bypass. Motorists wishing to stay on S.R. 46 west will stay to the left and take the second exit on the roundabout. Those taking the bypass by mistake can turn around in a designated area – wide enough for tractor trailers – at Wekiva Park Drive.
