Expect nightly lane closures on I-4 from State Road 46 to County Road 46A: Eastbound single lanes 8:30 p.m. – 6 a.m., double lanes 10:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.; westbound single lanes 7:30 p.m. – 6 a.m., double lanes 9:30 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.

Lane closures will occur on the westbound I-4 C-D road 7:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.; Rinehart Road 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. – 6 a.m.; and, International Parkway 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. Remember to slow down near construction zones.

A nighttime road closure is scheduled for Monday, May 20. Eastbound and westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) will be closed between State Road (S.R.) 46 and Lake Mary Boulevard The closure is necessary to allow crews to dismantle and remove overhead sign structures.

All Wekiva Parkway Lanes are Open – Central Florida Has a Full Beltway

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Central Floridians can now enjoy the convenience of a full beltway around the region. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) opened the remaining Wekiva Parkway lanes this morning (Saturday, January 27), making the long-awaited connection between State Road (S.R.) 429, S.R. 417, and Interstate 4 (I-4) a reality.

Motorists can travel new S.R. 417 northbound lanes under I-4 to connect with S.R. 429. I-4 eastbound motorists can travel to S.R. 429 southbound. Those on International Parkway also can get onto S.R. 429 southbound.

The new S.R. 429 northbound/eastbound lanes connect with S.R. 417 southbound, and motorists also can take S.R. 429 northbound/eastbound to I-4 in either direction.

FDOT encourages motorists to use a SunPass to take advantage of the greatest travel savings. Those without a SunPass or Florida-accepted transponder may pay their toll via Toll-by-Plate. The toll for this section for two-axle vehicles will be $0.54 for SunPass/transponder customers. The toll for those using Toll-by-Plate will be $0.81, plus a $2.50 administrative charge. Some work on the project will continue in the coming months that may require lane or ramp closures.

The 25-mile Wekiva Parkway completed Central Florida’s beltway, while helping to protect wildlife and other natural resources in the Wekiva River Basin. The Wekiva River is a National Wild and Scenic River and Florida Outstanding Waterway. Wekiva Parkway was the first expressway in Central Florida to feature all electronic tolling.
