CFX Section 1A Nightly Single Lane Closures on Connector Road

July 2017

APOPKA _ Starting tonight, July 28 through Friday, August 11, crews are scheduled to conduct single lane closures on eastbound and westbound Connector Road  at State Road 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway) near US 441. The closures scheduled from 7 p.m. - 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. are needed for paving, sign and signal work as part of building the Wekiva Parkway (State Road 429).

Access to and from SR 429 will remain open during these activities.

Flaggers will direct traffic and electronic message boards are posted to alert drivers. Bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work. Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area for their safety and that of the work crews.

This work is part of the Central Florida Expressway Authority’s $56 million project to build the Wekiva Parkway from where the SR 429 currently ends at the Connector Road to just north of Ponkan Road. This section officially opened to traffic July 27, 2017; work to wrap up the project will be done over the next few weeks..
